Teams

Teams

Gather three or more people and you have a team! Whether you’re a competitive running team, a health-conscious team or a team participating to honor a loved one affected by lung disease, all are welcome! Team captains will have additional tools in their participant dashboard to help recruit and acknowledge fellow team members.

All teams will have a team captain and at least two additional team members. Funds raised by all individuals on the team contribute to the team’s fundraising goal. Teams can be comprised of family members, friends or co-workers.

RACE TEAMS: At least three people are needed to form a team in the 5-mile race. However, teams may have more than 3 people. Using the cross-country method to calculate team time, the times of the top 3 runners on your team will be calculated to get your team time. Awards will be presented to the fastest three teams. Awards will also be presented to Top Friends & Family Fundraising Team and Top Corporate Fundraising Team.

SCHOOL TEAMS: Organize your school to participate. All registered participants will be counted- including 5-Mile, 1-Mile and volunteers - for eligibility for Top School Trophy. This is a traveling trophy which the winning team will house at their school for the year.

FITNESS CENTER CHALLENGE: The fitness center who brings out the most registered participants (runners, walkers, volunteers included) will be awarded the traveling Fitness Center Challenge Trophy at the Awards Ceremony.

CORPORATE GYM CHALLENGE: The company gym who brings out the most registered participants (runners, walkers, volunteers included) will be awarded the traveling Corporate Gym Challenge Trophy at the Awards Ceremony.

TEAM-BUILDING: Brochures, posters and fundraising tips are available to help you. Contact us to request materials.
